HANDMADE CERAMICS

All my pieces are made by hand either on the pottery wheel or using hand-building techniques. They are made to approximate measurements, therefore no two pieces will ever be identical. Each piece is unique and will vary in size, shape and finish. Please expect your piece to be perfectly imperfect and full of character.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

My tableware pottery collection is stoneware and fired very high (1250*C) so is watertight and can be put in the dishwasher. However I don’t recommend continuous long-term use as over time the high temperatures and chemicals can weaken the pot and make it more likely to crack or dis-colour. It’s wise to be careful when using in the oven and avoid thermal shock by placing in a cold oven to heat up slowly. It’s best to avoid regular use in the microwave, however occasional use is fine.

My decorative collection is mainly earthenware terracotta  and mixed media fired to 1050*C. They can be used indoors and outdoors (not in frosty conditions) without affecting their appearance.

Ceramic jewellery and gifts can be either stoneware or earthenware. Often used nichrome wire, cotton or polyester string and sterling silver for the earrings.

 

UK DELIVERY

I send everything wrapped very carefully via Royal Mail Tracked 48. Items are dispatched within 2-3 working days and the estimated delivery time is 2-4 working days. However, times are not guaranteed for this service. You will receive an email from Royal Mail with the tracking details, an estimated delivery day and the option to reschedule. If you haven’t received your order after 15 working days from shipping, please reply to the order confirmation email or email info@despinaceramics.com .

I’m currently only posting to GB, until I figure out the new rules for posting to Europe and Northern Ireland. Any questions please email me.

 

LOCAL PICK UP

You are welcome to avoid postage and pick up your pots directly from me. Simply select ‘local pickup’ during checkout and contact me to arrange collection. I am located in Totnes, South Devon and my studio address is Scope Complex – Unit L, Wills Road, TQ9 5XN .

 

PACKAGING

I wrap your ceramic carefully using recycled paper to both wrap and protect the piece. It’s then packed in a small box and stuffed with packing paper. I’m trying to re-use as much packaging as possible and therefore for some pieces I may use bubble wrap or newspaper or any other items that I am recycling. Please re-use or recycle the packaging as you can.

 

RETURNS

If you are not happy with your item or it is cracked or broken on arrival, please contact me on info@despinaceramics.com for a full refund or a replacement. You have 14 days to return the item.

 

UNDELIVERED ITEMS

If an order does not arrive, please contact me to arrange a replacement or refund on info@despinaceramics.com
